Pacify is a multiplayer horror game developed by Sean Hitchcock, the creator of Emily Wants to Play. You are a new employee at a company called PAH (Paranormal Activity Helpers). Your task is to explore an abandoned house while being followed around by a mysterious young woman.
Dictionaries define “pacify” as a verb that means “to calm anger, agitation, or excitement.” As a member of PAH, you are investigating an abandoned house for evidence of paranormal activity. As you explore the building, you will encounter a strange girl who will act either kindly or hostile toward you and your companions. Various triggers in the game will cause her to switch between good and evil; when she turns evil, she will hunt you. The goal of the game is to appease the evil forces and escape the house once there is peace in it.
You can complete the game alone in single player mode. The most fun, however, is playing with a friend. In Pacify’s co-op mode, you and a team of up to three players work together to survive, similar to other four-player co-op survival games like Devourer or the critically acclaimed Phasmophobia. Working together, you’ll gather clues. You can also help each other out by stopping whenever an enemy catches one of you.
The game also features a PvP mode, where up to four players will compete to please the mysterious girl and escape the house with the most supernatural evidence. In this mode, you can take down other players.
